Our hubs

NSW Centre for Effective Reading staff are passionate, dedicated team members who collaborate together with the common goal of improving children's reading abilities. Our team value the knowledge that parents and partner school staff share, allowing NSW CER to tailor assessments for these children, the results which inform the development of individualised reading intervention plans for these students.

Our dedicated team is located around NSW, and consists of teachers, school psychologists, speech pathologists, a community partnerships officer and school administration staff.

Our partnership with NSW Health also allows us to work closely with a team of paediatricians, clinical neuro-psychologists and speech pathologists from the Child Development Unit at the Children's Hospital, Westmead.

All of our students are supported by a designated hub team. Our hub teams consist of a specialist teacher, psychologist and speech pathologist who provide a comprehensive assessment for the student.

For those students supported by the Westmead hub, the specialist team includes a neuropsychologist, speech pathologist and paediatrician from the Child Development Unit (CDU) at the Children's Hospital, Westmead as well as the specialist teacher.
