Our staff

Your child’s school experience is shaped by the people around them. Our teachers, speech pathologists, school psychologists and school administration staff bring experience, care and a passion for helping children learn to read. With a focus on success, they help every child, family and school experience the transformative process of learning to read. It changes lives!

Our staff consist of teachers, speech pathologists and school psychologists. We work collaboratively to asses students and learn about each child and their individual strengths and needs. This is then used to write a tailored reading intervention plan.

Wellbeing and non-teaching support staff

Our wellbeing and support staff guide student wellbeing, learning needs and inclusion. They work with teachers to make personalised adjustments to the reading intervention. This means each child can take part fully in school life. We find that our support often results in improvements to not only reading, but also attendance, wellbeing, engagement, confidence, and social skills.

Our school psychologists learn about how each child's brain works: their strengths and their challenges. Discussions with the student, with family and with school help in a shared understanding of how everyone can work together to help the child learn to read.

Our speech pathologists learn about each student's speech, language and vocabulary skills. This is important as it informs how to support the reading intervention plan. developed for each child.

Crystal, Our Community Partnerships Officer works alongside families and our community to strive to ensure that families, as their child's strongest advocates, are seen and heard.
