Welcome to families, students and schools to the NSW Centre for Effective Reading.
As Principal of NSW Centre for Effective Reading I have the pleasure of leading a dynamic team of teaching staff, speech pathologists and psychologists to provide reading intervention for primary aged rural and remote students.
As a rural and remote provision, we are passionate about supporting families and schools to ensure equity for all students to achieve their reading goals. Our school provides tutor training and professional learning to staff in partner schools across the state.
I believe reading opens our eyes to the world, opportunities and perspectives. What a wonderful gift to give a child, to read.
Our skilled team of teachers, speech pathologists and psychologists provide assessments to assist with understanding the needs of each student. The learning journey for each student is not linear and throughout the 12 months the program for intervention continues to evolve and take shape.

Welcome everyone!
As the Deputy Principal of the NSW Centre for Effective Reading I feel truly privileged to collaborate with a dedicated team of teachers, speech pathologists, and psychologists to support schools and students in rural and remote NSW. Together, we are committed to helping children develop their reading skills, which is vital for their educational journey.
One of my passions is sharing NSW CER strategies and knowledge of understanding students as well as facilitating professional learning with other schools and families. I believe that fostering communication and collaboration among all stakeholders—teachers, families, and support staff—is essential for achieving the best outcomes for our students. This collaboration not only enhances our own practices but also contributes to a supportive learning environment for all.
Every day, I am inspired by the resilience and potential of our students, and I am committed to providing them with the tools they need to succeed. Together, we can create a brighter future for the children in our community.
