The NSW Centre for Effective Reading (NSW CER) is a specialist service providing:
- information about teaching reading and supporting students with complex reading difficulties through this dedicated website
- direct support for rural and remote primary school aged students with complex reading difficulties and their teachers.
The NSW CER provides direct assessment and intervention services for eligible students in four hubs located at Dubbo, Wagga Wagga, Manly and Westmead.
The functions of the NSW CER include:
- assessment and diagnosis
- intervention
- professional learning and support
- research and development.
